10 Day Iran Tour Summer Vacation

After your arrival to Shiraz, you’ll be met and transferred to the hotel for a short rest before your exciting journey through Iran commences.

The tour starts with Nasir Almolk Mosque (known as the Pink Mosque), and the elegant Narenjestan Mansion followed by a visit to Arg-e Karim Khan, Vakil Mosque, and Vakil Bazaar (where you have an opportunity to see all kinds of Persian carpets, spices, antiques, and handicrafts).

In the afternoon we’ll visit Shah Cheragh Shrine (with an impressive interior decoration) and the Mausoleum of the famous Iranian poet—Hafez.

In the morning we are driving to Yazd (441km) aiming at visiting a few major spots on the way: Persepolis, which is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular sites in Iran, with significant size and monumental glory.

We also take a look at Naqsh-e Rustam (containing the huge tombs of Persian kings and over-life-sized rock reliefs depicting monarchs of the Sassanid era). Pasargadae is also on our list where you are going to see the Mausoleum of Cyrus the Great, the founder of the Achaemenid Empire. We’ll arrive in Yazd in the evening.

In the morning we are going to start a walk (that promises a lot of picturesque views) along narrow streets of the old town of Yazd. We’ll visit the Jame Mosque, (one of the best examples of the magnificent Persian mosaics and architecture with the highest minarets in Iran).

Next, we take a glance at Water Museum, and Dolat Abad Garden (with the highest windcatcher in Iran). We then move to the Zoroastrian Fire Temple (which holds an ancient fire known as the eternal flame). The Towers of Silence (Zoroastrian structures for the ritual of death) and Amir Chakhmaq Square are also visited.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Isfahan (320km), en route visiting these major sites: the Shah Abbasi Caravanserai of Meybod; the Pigeon Tower (a home to pigeons) with economic benefits; the Narin Historical Castle (a mud-brick monument dating back to 2,000 years ago);

and the Jame Mosque of Nain (with the magnificent brickwork around the yard and marvellous plasterwork over the niche).

Arriving in Isfahan in the evening, we’ll have free time to walk along the historical bridges watching the daily life of people from a near distance.

Our full-day city tour of Isfahan starts with a visit to the Naqsh-e Jahan Square (added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List), one of the largest squares in the world enclosing the magnificent Imam Mosque (an enduring architectural masterpiece),

the glorious Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, and the impressive Ali Qapu Palace (with its impressive entrance way which was undoubtedly intended to symbolize the authority and strength of the Safavid monarchs).

Next, we’ll take a glance at the Chehel Sotoun Palace and Garden (a reflection of magnificence and beauty).

Today is also dedicated to the beauty of Isfahan. We are going to visit the Vank Cathedral (in the New Julfa district, well-known for its architecture and tile work). The richly painted interior of the church displays the impressive combination of Islamic architecture with Christian designs.

In the afternoon we’ll visit the Jame Mosque (where you have a chance to see the results of permanent construction, reconstruction, and addition since the 8^th century A.D). We then walk through the Bazaar of Isfahan (which offers you a pleasant experience along with an eye-catching atmosphere).

We are driving to Tehran (450km) via Abyaneh and Kashan. You have an opportunity to take a look at the architecturally impressive village of Abyaneh whose people still wear traditional clothes.

We then leave Abyaneh to Kashan where you are going to visit some houses of historical value (evoking admiration through their size and design including Borujerdis House, Ameri House, and Abbasi House).

The historical Fin Garden (a UNESCO World Heritage site with a numerous channels and cypresses) is also visited. In the evening we leave the city to Tehran.

Today’s sightseeing tour of the capital of Iran will begin with the Bazaar, (the largest covered bazaar in Tehran), and continue with the glorious Golestan Palace. We then have a look at the National Museum, (the first science museum in Iran that holds exhibits since 8 thousand years ago).

Next we possibly visit the Treasury of National Jewelry Museum (where you have an opportunity to take a glance at the largest pink diamond in the world shining stunningly bright among other valuable jewelry). In the evening, we’ll stroll through the Tabiat 3-Level Pedestrian Bridge.

The last day of the tour is dedicated to a trip along the Aras River, the natural border between Azerbaijan and Iran in the direction of the old St. Stephanos Armenian Monastery the antiquity of which is due to its location on the old paths, including the Silk Road.

We also take a look at the Armenian monastery of Saint Thaddeus (Also known as the Black Church). Both churches have been added to UNESCO World Heritage List. We then return to Tabriz to take a short rest before transferring to the International Airport for departure.
