Day 1

Overnight

Shiraz

After a short rest in the hotel our full-day tour of Tehran begins with a visit to Tehran Bazaar, one of the world’s largest covered bazaars. Next, we’ll visit the majestic Golestan Palace and the National Museum. After lunch, we are going to take a look at the Jewelry Museum, which holds, among other things, one of  the biggest pink diamonds in the world. In the early evening, you are flying to Shiraz.

Day 2

The city tour of Shiraz starts with a visit to Nasir-ol-Molk Mosque. Next we’ll visit Naranjestan and the Zandieh Complex, which includes the Citadel, Vakil Bath, Vakil Mosque, and Vakil Bazaar. After lunch, we are going to visit the mausoleum of the great Persian poet, Hafez. The tour ends with a visit to the Shah Cherag Shrine, decorated with mirror tiles or the Ali ibn Hamza Shrine.

Day 3

Yazd

In the morning, after breakfast, departure to Yazd (440 km). On the way to Persepolis, we’ll visit the Qur’an Gate, from which you can see almost all of Shiraz. Persepolis, which is undoubtedly one of the most impressive places in Iran, with significant dimensions and monumental ruins, was the capital of the Achaemenid empire. The city was built on a huge terrace, half artificial, half natural. After visiting Persepolis, we’ll drive to Naqshe-Rostam, a place famous for the huge tombs of Persian kings.  Arrival to Yazd in the evening. Overnight in Yazd.

Day 4

In the morning, after breakfast, walk along the old city with its narrow streets, in which time seemed to stop. Visiting the Jame Mosque (the terrific iwan of which is crowned by a couple of minarets, the highest in Iran); Dolat Abad Garden with the largest urban windcatcher; Zoroastrian Fire Temple, storing a 1500-year-old fire; the Towers of Silence – used for Zoroastrian death ceremonies and funeral customs in the past- and Amir Chakhmaq Square. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Yazd.

Day 5

Isfahan

After breakfast we’ll drive to Isfahan (313 km). On the way we are visiting the following sights: the Abbasi Caravansarai in Maybod; the Pigeon Tower, (a home to pigeons) with economic benefits; and the ruins of the Narin Historical Castle (a mud-brick monument dating back to 2,000 years ago). Once in Narin we are visiting the Jame Mosque and a carpet workshop. In the evening, walk along the historical bridges in Isfahan. Overnight in Isfahan.

Day 6

Our full-day city tour of Isfahan starts with a visit to the Naqsh-e Jahan Square, one of the largest squares in the world enclosing the magnificent Imam Mosque (an enduring architectural masterpiece), the glorious Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, and the impressive Ali Qapu Palace (with its impressive entrance way which was undoubtedly intended to symbolize the authority and strength of the Safavid monarchs). Next we’ll visit the Chehel Sotoun Palace and Garden (a reflection of magnificence and beauty). We also take a look at the Jame Mosque (where you have a chance to see the results of permanent construction, reconstruction, and addition since the 8th century A.D). We then walk through the Bazaar of Isfahan which offers you a pleasant experience along with an eye-catching atmosphere.

Day 7

Kashan

In the morning, we will visit the Vank Cathedral, the architecture of which is a mixture of the Safavid style (high arches) and an Islamic-style dome. We then drive to Kashan via Abyaneh (a village of living traditions and architectural styles wherein you can experience the ancient civilization and culture of Iran).

Day 8

Overnight

Up to 6 hours in 5-star Novotel Hotel 

The city tour of Kashan starts in the morning with a visit to one of the best Iranian houses in size and design which is of great architectural value. We then take a look at the historical Mosque of Agha Bozorg (used also as a theological school). Next we are going to see the UNESCO World Heritage site Fin Garden which is a delightful sample of Persian Garden and a remarkable highlight of Kashan. It might also be possible to visit the excavations of the 5000-year-old settlement of Tepe Sialk, which is located near Kashan. Departure to Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport (250 km). Relax in the hotel beside the airport.
